No worry - we all have Dickishness in us and Reddit brings the best out of us all.

I think all that’s true for unions - but doesn’t resolve the issues of others. It just supports those in strong unions to continue to utilise it & those who don’t suffer. The guidance for the level required to be trained for a driver has been set with the qualifications and desired characteristics.

My issue is that this union action doesn’t resolve the pay issues for most and doesn’t give the feelings or message of collective.

I think the idea of working class people disputing with one another is the perfect recipe against collective action; however it’s difficult for people to have faith in the greater collective when (in my opinion) a large portion of people act in their own self interest above all else.

Another example is self employed (trades in some cases) doing ‘homers’ or work on the side. They don’t pay tax on earnings - but would complain about lack of support during covid (which was poor for self employed) but also poor public services without wishing to contribute the correct amount of tax towards that. In those instances - are considerations given to baristas, supermarket workers, home caters who do get overtime (usually at a flat rate) and then get taxed on it?

I would like companies to pay proportionate taxes, non-dom status to be relooked at, tax exemptions, second homes.

But collectively the working class or under classes do not act collectively. In my opinion.
