| Comment | I'm from Texas. I used to not know anyone with a gun- except my dad, but he was an officer, until my dad got remarried after my mom passed away (cancer not gun violence.)
His new wife has a little pistol she carries in her purse. Sure, I grew up with a gun in the house, but it never came to dinner with us or our shopping. It's silly to me too. Not every Texan is a gun nut.
Also, I used to teach. Same grade as the children that were murdered. I've lived here since 2018 and I'm quite removed from it, but this really hit me hard.
It's weird to read these comments where it seems as though people don't actually care about the humans who aren't gung-ho about guns. Those who do want change. |
