Yep. The Gov were banking on the rail staff being pushovers and banking on them "doing the right thing" because they knew they wouldn't be able to put a blanket 10% raise across all public sectors.
So we're pretty much in a pinch of that they can't afford to give them a raise because they've been on such a large wage for so long, can't afford to give them a raise because of knock on affects and it's not like the rail staff are ever going to stop striking, because it works (unions work, what a surprise)
They are relying on public opinion from normal working people turning the tide as there's literally nothing they can do in their eyes from a financial aspect.
So aye trains are striking past August. |
