Thanks for the advice, I am thinking it's solid wood given the underside, which is unfinished looks like the same wood as the finished top, but I can't be sure. Parents bought it 30 odd years ago while staying in Dubai so there isn't really a website to check. Without sounding too much like an idiot, is there an easy way to tell if it's solid wood or not?
