| Comment | I get that the idea of a federal UK leads to knee-jerk dismissal by the entrenched sides of the independence debate, but I don't see why it's a shitty idea.
The other European federal nations seem to point towards it being a very successful model, and one that would permit most of the goals of the independence movement without the horrendous economic shock that would come from outright secession.
It might not be what you personally see as the best outcome, but it's still an improvement on what we have right now. |
