I also moved to Scotland from England recently and had the opposite experience. I was so afraid of having to go through diagnosis again and maybe them even refusing to prescribe the same medicine. And I was loaded with fear because of my overall terrible experience in England. The surgery I landed at here is fantastic. I had no problems getting the same prescription and when things got rough again the GP asked me to give blood and do some exams so they have recent data on me and adjusted the dosage.

Also NHS Scotland prescriptions are free! Got in a funny situation at the pharmacy the first time insisting that I should pay, because I am one of those who pay (because of always asking you in England if you pay for your prescriptions. I just thought that they had forgotten to ask me)
