You'll be fine, I walked it from the Hydro to Glasgow Central last night just before Alice Cooper finished and was totally fine (F, 29). The last train to EK at 11:18 was absolutley packed so the bus might be your best bet.
There's also no trains from Exhibition Centre to Glasgow Central later in the evening so you'll have plenty of people from the show also walking up the same way.
