The bizarre concept of being an arse and trying to live up to the Glaswegian hard man stereotype that is rife across the city.

You’re looked down on and called posh for pronouncing words properly by a huge percentage of the cities population. I’m all for having pride in your roots etc but it is a very strange thing to try and shame people for wanting to better themselves.

The fake, over emphasised Glaswegian accent is probably one of the worst sounding things I’ve ever heard.

Also an addition to it is the weird cultural appropriation adopted by people brought up in places like newton mearns that adopt all these Glasgow phrases and actions and pretend they were brought up in schemes but then go home for Sunday tea and scones with mummy and daddy.
