Speaking on the phone is annoying, lines can be busy (or shit), can often be difficult to convey an order. Not all places on deliveroo / justeat can pay dedicated delivery drivers and are seeing huge increase in custom / support due to delivery services.
Once you do make an order its generally a crapshoot with local delivery orders, may take 5 minutes maybe 90 but you won't know till you get it, and who keeps cash on them anyway?
These delivery services exploit the hell out of the drivers but from the view of supporting the local restaurant they are providing unprecedented levels of custom and from the view of the customer they offer a massively easier to use service |
