Mackerel will be about now til August, take the train to Gourock and literally (no joking) step outside and use feathers or spinners from the rocks at the car park. Public toilets and chip shops are nearby, it's the full deal and mackerel are fairly easy to catch. If you do catch them please don't go mental and take more than you need,
