| Comment | More capacity results in more cars though, as it's easier to access the city centre. I live in a big Asian city not far from Hiroshima (across the sea though), and it's very easy to drive around. However, it's very much at the expense of cyclists and pedestrians. It's impossible to safely nip across the road on foot, and cyclists tend to be marginalised due to the heavy traffic flows and difficulties in changing lanes.
Single occupant drivers are the most privileged road users, they don't need anything else. |
