One of the main things that we need to do in tackling climate change is look at emissions and sustainability. This has impacts on jobs and workers who are employed by companies that produce large amounts of waste, and there is the risk that by taking action it could put jobs at risk, potentially impacting on poorer communities harder or on those who own small businesses (corner shops, cafes, etc) around these workplaces.

So if that sort of thing might affect you or people you know, there's a distinct human rights/equality issue there, and you suggest that the council and parliaments work directly with trade unions and community groups to plan for any way of mitigating this damage and have a proper just transition of these industries.
