You could go wild here - requiring multiple tests (cover the full range of daytime/nighttime, in rain/ice/snow, motorway/urban/rural/off-road, navigation with paper maps and electronic devices), require simulator (yes, actually build full-motion simulators like for aircraft in the test centres) experience to practise for emergencies like recovery from skids, blowouts, collisions etc., a shitload more theory tests covering motoring law, car maintenance/repair, engine/suspension/electrical principles. |
