| Comment | Buses are subject to the LEZ as well. They have actually already been phasing it in for years where a certain percentage of services have had to meet euro 6. The latest euro 6 buses have start-stop too, so major reduction in idling.
There is already a large portion of electric vehicles in service, with more on order. The plan is that the entire fleet will be electric / hydrogen eventually. Older vehicles will gradually be phased out. The big First Bus depot on Cathcart Rd will have an all electric fleet within a year. |
