| Comment | Getting a taxi to and from Milngavie is almost impossible these days. Ambassador Taxis have about 3 drivers working part-time, it seems. I don’t even bother with Station Taxis anymore. I’ve been in the situation recently where a train has been cancelled at Milngavie station, so I phone Ambassador from the platform and they say it’s going to be 45 mins for a taxi. I walk outside the station and see a taxi sitting there, chap the window asking if they can take me to town and they say yes! I tell them I phoned the taxi office and was told there was no cars and the driver says that happens all the time! |
