| Comment | Converting an a-listed building into flats is extremely expensive, any work needs to be done in accordance with a raft of rules and in sympathy with the way in which the building was originally built.
If individuals want to pay over the odds for listed buildings then that's up to them, but it's an irresponsible use of public money, particularly at a time when there's a chronic lack of social housing. |
