I moved to the UK from Italy many many years ago, and one of the reasons was my deep dislike for hot, sunny weather. I lived in the SE of England for years and then it progressively got drier and hotter, to the point that it never seemed to rain. Moved to the NW of England - which was fine apart from Summer 2018 which was drier than something very, very dry. I remember seeing satellite photos of the UK and the whole country was yellow.

Moved to Scotland last year, and of course with my luck, last summer was hot as balls and very dry. This year, things are more promising.

Rain might be an inconvenience sometimes but the planet needs water, the wildlife needs water, we need water otherwise nothing grows. It's all very well to like summer warm weather (each to their own) but climate change is no joke.
