There are junglegym type things here called softplay which most kids love, KelvinHall is probably the best one

Roots & Fruits and Locavore are probably your best bet for markets, the fruit and veg situation here is not very good comparatively.

Kelvingrove park + museum on its own would keep a 1.5yo sorted for 2 or 3 days so always something to keep as a backup (it has 2 playparks, a pond to feed ducks etc and a nice riverside walk). Also leads to the botanic gardens.

The Science centre is a really good place for kids

Mitchell Library occasionally has stuff on for kids and a little kids section + cafe
