Definitely the Transport Museum (called the Riverside museum on the Red bus). My kids are exactly the same ages and love it. Lots of space to run around. Would avoid Kelvingrove with small kids, not that good for them.

Hop on bus is great idea. Other ideas

The necropolis is pretty cool (near Glasgow Cathedral) and gives a good view of Glasgow.

Wander down Buchanan Street, go into Princess Square, St Enoch Centre,

Get the underground (it’s fun to do) to Byres Road and wander around the Botanics Gardens (there’s a play park there).

For food, my kids love Pizza so would either take them to Paesano (one in town or one in west end) or Mozza (also one in town and one in west end).

Also Nando’s is always good and everywhere.
