| Comment | Ex private hire driver here - airport pick ups take too long and too much mucking about. If it was pre booked we would get the flight number so we could see when they landed then head round but that meant you couldnt take another job for about 40 minutes before the booking and you never know how long customs/bag collections etc will take.
Pick up point is a shambles too, you had like 8 minutes to find your fare and pick them up or the price would double. One time i had been at the pick up point for 6 minutes and they tried to charge me £40, told me to pay up or my car would be blocked from entering. Obviously an issue with the cameras and managed to sort it out but its just not worth the stress.
Honestly id be more likely to accept a job from edinburgh airport over glasgow just because edinburgh is less hassle. |
