| Comment | It's a good idea and I think there may already be a similar society or two out there. As you say however the difficulty can be getting times at clubs and even the municipal clubs in Glasgow are greatly reduced in just the last few years.
I am currently a member at Aberfoyle where our subs are less than half the going rate for clubs round about Glasgow (£375). I manage out 2-3 times per week and quite a few of the members are similarly based in Glasgow.
Most often people think Aberfoyle is too far away but it's not really, only 20mins past Dougalston, Hiltpn Park etc and the bonus being it is never anywhere near as busy so I can drive there, have a round and be back home in less time it would take just to have a round at those closer courses. It's a great little course. |
