As mentioned the police don’t bother too much with cyclists in Glasgow. You would need to be wobbling all over the road to be stopped. In any case I expect they would only advise you to get off the bike and get a taxi.
If you cycle a bit tipsy then plan a route with pathways and just take it easy. It’s a great way to get home if you hire one and are lucky enough to have a bike drop off near you.
Someone else linked to an article about being charged with being drunk in charge of a bicycle. It’s probably more bother than it’s worth for the police to pursue this. There is no requirement for you to provide a breath sample so they have to prove that you are drunk by other means. |
