For learning to understand us.

Some people will speak "plain English" all the time. Others will use different words at times. Words influenced by Scots language (I think).

Wouldn't = wouldny

Didn't = dinny (or didny)

Can't = canny

Do = dae

With = wae

Yes = aye

What = whit

Doing = dain

Not = no

Going = gonny

To = tae

All = aw

Ball = baw


This is all I can think of right now but I'll add more if they come to mind.
