It's mad that the transport here is so shit considering how many people live here. I pay about £325 a month all in for my car. That's the car payment, insurance, gap insurance and a tank of fuel. Would have been about £300 before the price of fuel became an absolute farce. However, that £325 gets me to pretty much everywhere I need to be in a decent time. I don't need to lug shopping on a bus/train or hoof it home with bags of stuff. I can drive and see mates. My missus lives in Renfrew and we'll drive to each others places.

It's expensive aye, but the freedom and time it gives you is class.

I remember going to Hamburg a few years ago and I was stunned by how good the public transport was. If you sat waiting for a bus or a train and it was due at like 12:30. You'd bet that it was there bang on 12:30. They weren't absolutely stinking either and they were relatively cheap compared to Glasgow buses. I think we only took a taxi once and it was late and we were absolutely steaming.
