| Comment | Keep in mind, the quality of your broadband overwhelmingly depends on who provides the physical network. Traditionally that would have been Virgin for Virgin, or Openreach for everyone else - it is now a bit more complicated if you're looking at FTTP packages, but for Shell the answer is still Openreach. Then a much smaller factor is who provides the higher-layer connectivity to the Internet - for Shell, that is TalkTalk. Past that, the difference is just who does the billing and customer service. So, at least as someone who doesn't speak to customer service all that often, I'd say if you're already on an Openreach provider and are happy, feel free to change to whoever is cheapest. If not, then it might pay to look into it some more. |
