On a desktop Ram is simple, it's got a clip on both sides. Once open the ram pulls out. The new stick goes in the same way and there is a notch in it to make sure it goes in the right direction. Then just put the clips back. Any YouTube video will show this.

Hard drive depends if going from a spinning drive to an SSD might need a little caddy or screws as they are physically different size. Then the power and connector can be different but a desktop will have spare power connectors.
