| Comment | Got a Hackney from Gordon Street last night. Didn't have its light on but it was the only one at the rank, so I got in and off we went. Guy didn't have his meter on, and he didn't put it on, so after a bit I asked if he was going to put his meter on. Cunt says, "Oh aye, sometimes I forget", and starts doing the sums out loud to work out the fare. Price was a bit more than usual but whatever, it wasn't mad and I needed home.
I guess this got the guy thinking about his job, and completely out the blue he tells me that the other night he took five teenagers to Troon, and "You look at them, decide what they can each afford and tell them individual fares, so that was £20 each, which they can afford, but that's a £100 fare for me". So yeah, fuck taxis. |
