I'll never forget doing this when I was 17 after coming home drunk and leaving a pie in the oven overnight, my dad put it on my pillow and I woke up facing it and gave a yelp of surprise. My dad then burst into my room and gave me plenty of grief which did not couple at all with my hangover.
