Yup exactly, I run, cycle and walk that section constantly, past Inn Deep there is a little steep hill followed by a narrow path that can be awkward when busy but fine.

The only time you are on the road is the section of Sauchiehall that has (if you count the side lanes) 9! lanes of one way traffic, its insane but easy enough to cycle (on the way back you go over the Charing cross pedestrian bridge and its a much more pleasant drive down Woodside).

I cycle constantly and haven't had any issues in Glasgow with traffic, a few taxis get a bit closer than I would like, also you have to keep your attention up, some of the potholes haves almost got me once or twice. But in general the drivers aren't awful and the infrastructure is improving rapidly.
