The council is actually about to spend roughly a million pounds fixing pot holes across the city. Works are set to start over the summer.
The money seems to have been sneakily allocated from a special funding pot assigned for "community projects". Unfortunately, a great many community projects will not happen because of this, but the pot holes will be fixed.
