Comment | 1. Use the search feature, these kinds of generic questions get asked *all the time*. If you have specific questions, have at it. 1. Areas to avoid - SMID is a good resource to start with, but it can miss a lot of nuance. 1. Medical - Hospitals are dotted around, but I don't know if that's where autism is managed. Could be that is done at a clinic which could be a dedicated space or even your GP's practice. 1. Fishing/Hiking - Scotland. 😋 Really depends on what kind you want to do. Gentle rambles or conquer Ben Nevis? Fishing, pretty sure you'll need to get a license for the section of river. 1. Shops - A web search is your friend. Aldi/Lidl (good and cheap), Asda/Farmfoods/Iceland/Home Bargains/B&M/Morrisons/Tesco (general supermarkets/frozen foods), Marks & Spencer's/Waitrose (upper end), Ocado (top end, home delivery). 1. Family friendly - it's a mix. If you want a detached house with a garden, it's outside the city unless you have millions. Or a tenement is a decent area like Shawlands or Partick. 1. Autism - sorry, don't know but I would be surprised if there wasn't. 1. Estate agent websites - much of a muchness TBH. Rightmove and Zoopla are two good aggregator sites. You being from the USA may impact your ability to get a mortgage, speak with an advisor (First Mortgage are good). Do not even *think* of buying without engaging a solicitor (Conroy McInnes are good, it's who we used). 1. Renting - the above sites also do rental, s1homes too. Ensure the landlord is registered.
