Sorry to nit-pick but pressing charges is something you see on American TV shows. In Scotland you can make a complaint to the police and they'll decide whether there's evidence of a crime or not. They'll present evidence to the PF who will decide if charges can be brought.
In this case, they'll probably tell OP to fuck off.
