Nah you won’t be automatically hated for having an English accent so don’t worry. Yeah we have our pride (some have an embarrassing amount of it) and as much as many like me want independence we don’t hate English people. We aren’t all screaming “Freedom!!” and snide at folk with an English accent.

In all serious though Glasgow is lovely with loads to do. Recently the weather has been great but it’s usually pretty shite 😂.

With stereotypes I would say we don’t all eat haggis (most of us only have it on Burns night), you’ll only see folk in kilts at weddings or if in a Celtic band. Deep fried Mars bars are a thing but genuinely don’t think I’ve had one or know anyone who has lol. Accurate one would be our typical slang. We say “aye” a lot, the c-words a term of endearment and ,although not common in Glasgow, in other cities you’ll get the common “ach” and “dinnae ken” (teuchter). Transports okay but trains are on strike the now n busses aren’t the worst but they do run late plenty of the time. Public transport overall is a bit of a ripoff.

Plenty to do in Glasgow, loads of pubs, lovely parks (kelvin walkway is a nice walk and takes you from maryhill to kelvingrove park in the west end). There’s also few indoor mini golf places (golf fang is 18+ only and serves drinks)

Huge LGBTQ+ community- two big gay clubs (Polo and AXM) those are the ones I’ve been to and know of. Katie’s bar and Delmonicas. Even then not just confined to those places went to Nice n Sleazys couple weeks ago n that had a great turnout of LGBTQ+
