The group originated in England and the contact address on the flier is England - Pudsey. Should have been clearer regarding that.
I’m under no illusion that Scotland has its own issues with racism. I think seething anger at a group of 7 or 8 white guys - some wearing face coverings and videoing themselves post this drivel out got to me.
I was concerned about my kids finding this and asking about it. I’ve got neighbours who are non-white with children and I just honestly thought we were passed this. I mean it’s as in your face racism as I’ve seen. I’ve stayed in the west of Scotland my whole life and never remember getting a Orange Lodge flier through my door. I’ve had some other horrid politic shit in the past few years - a family party springs to mind.
I suppose I wanted to raise awareness, rant & would be open to any suggestions around response to this (if there is anything worthwhile). |
