Honestly it would make little to no difference. The public's perception isn't going to change towards drivers. If anything, if it's government run, still has the same issues as they do today, I'd probably expect it to be worse if anything. You'd now get the, "we pay your wages" thrown at the drivers. But drivers may hopefully get more support, if the current management system changes. If it'll be comparable to the, say, council/cleansing department. Then I don't think the quick to fire culture will be there, that it is today.

So to sum up, I have no clue lol. Just rambling.
