You can get counselling for free pretty quickly through occupational health channels in some jobs. Particularly public sector and in my experience it doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do with your work. I realise not every employer will offer this but it's worth asking the question. I didn't know it was even an option until my boss at the time put me forward for it due to some issues I was having with mental health a few years ago. And these were not issues *caused* by my work. I had a series of regular appointments within 2 weeks of submitting the paperwork. |
