Comment | Glasgow and London have a lot of parallels. The river divides the city. The west end is a hub for food and entertainment. The “posh” bit is in the west of the city. Take London, scale it down, nuke the tourists and make it a bit more friendlier (despite the reputation) and you have Glasgow.
Cons are the transport system here is not half of what it is in London. I live a bit further out from the centre and I cannot imagine life without a car and relying on public transport for my commute.
The dining out scene is not as good as London, especially at the higher end but it is something thats growing in Glasgow.
You lose your airport convenience of having direct flights to almost anywhere in the world on your doorstep.
You gain beautiful scenery, hikes and trails on your doorstep. And maybe the biggest thing of all: SPACE. |
