Bear in mind the West End literally wouldn't function if it wasn't for the army of students and young people working whatever hours we can manage in the places you like to go out to and yet still spending 100% of our student loan (often plus a lot more) or like 50-60% of a full-time hours income just to pay rent. The w.end's economy absolutely relies on our relatively cheap labour to function and everyone who moans about entitled students still benefits from the subsequently cheaper prices. If we all listened to this sub and moved to Paisley or Motherwell or whatever I bet it wouldn't be half as nice of a night out here (and we'd all still be skint having to commute to uni everyday). |
