That's nonsense. We have the same number of cars but now don't have any cops left on shifts to be out on the beat once the cars are filled. Loads of cops lost to office jobs and shit like delivering citations that the courts used to employ people to do that now fall on the police.
To claim beat cops don't get results is absolutely mental. There's no community engagement when all the cops are driving about their full shift and we're losing out on loads of intelligence that we used to glean from beat cops.
Any cop claiming we're better off without beat cops has about 2 years service and is happier driving about all the time. |
