Bishopbriggs is actually the nearest train station to Stobhill Hospital and it isn't such an uphill mission to get to from that station..
Trains to Bishopbriggs leave from the upper level of Glasgow Queen Street. It's the Edinburgh service that you will board. Watch out though as not every service stops at Bishopbriggs. I believe every second Edinburgh train stops there.
