Barrhead has been lumped into East Renfrewshire which is very affluent. M
Barrhead isn’t. It has little pockets but generally is a very working class area with a couple of streets that are known for trouble.
BUT: barrhead gets lots of funding due to being in east Ren and the fact that land there is cheaper. So lovely leisure centre etc which is far nicer than Eastwood over in giffnock.
Pros and cons. Would prefer to be close to the train station really if I had to live there. |
