Leeds! They have a motorway too but it doesn't run through the middle of the city. And it feels like there are more options for walking on routes away from main roads (also, when looking to rent here, it seemed all the properties are on or next to main roads - most housing is away from main roads in Leeds, which probably also influences my feelings a lot!)
