| Comment | Couldn’t agree with this more. I would be really keen to read a local newspaper if it helped me understand what’s going on in my local community, whether it’s events, projects or things that have happened.
Seems like at the moment there aren’t many options besides newspapers that, as OP says, use emotive language for divisive stories to drive sales or interest.
The news doesn’t need to be positive all the time, sometimes it just isn’t. But it would be great if it could help me feel more connected to what is going on around me.
I’d be particularly interested in longer investigative type stories versus surface level reporting! |
