What's even more crazy is that medical cannabis has been legal in the UK since 2018 and I learned about it thanks to a friend of a friend, instead of being something my rheumatologist or GP brought up. They are quite happy prescribing things like di-hydrocodeine and other strong opioids, but because you can just access cannabis treatment through an independent charity, it's not part of their approach. It's the only thing that has helped me with chronic pain from arthritis and fibro.
