Its all about appeasing that 65+ vote and I doubt they are keen on changing drug policy status quo. I'm just confident if either LAB/CON/LIB could net gain votes by supporting cannabis legalisation they'd do it in a heartbeat. No one in politics really cares about cannabis I'm sure, it's not like its a radical idea, half the western world has legalised it. All they care about is voter numbers.
