| Comment | You can bypass your G.P. who will more than likely prescribe medication, which in itself isn't a bad idea but finding the right one will/can take a while. Meds for MH are so varied that it's a really difficult thing to get right.
You can make a self referral to MH services 0800 328 9655 who offer CBT which is a proven, well researched, evidence based therapy for mild to moderate depression.
Word of warning though, services are overwhelmed and it will take time. Good luck |
