Last year I took the train from Queen St to Balloch. Right outside Balloch station is a boat service. I think it’s called Sweeney’s. You can take 1 or 2 hour boat rides around the loch. I really recommend going for the 2 hour one- it takes you to Luss in the first hour. You can hop off at Luss Pier and take the next boat (do bear in mind the last boat timings) back to Balloch.
Luss is very picturesque and has a couple of cafes and a beach to chill on. It’s small but perfect for a solo trip |
