Sorry to hear how much your struggling.

Definitely go see your gp. They can direct you the right way. If they suggest some kind of medication (they might or might not), do consider it. Can take the edge off and help with recovery. Referrals to secondary care through nhs take a while so you might have a wait but it does happen, or there might be a primary care service that might be better for you.

There is a Glasgow charity life link which you should look at. They do counselling service up to four appointments if your not under care of a psychiatrist. It might not sound like much but it’s a start.

There are lots of private counsellors out there. And there are different types of counselling. This takes you to a link for a service on the southside. I have not used them so can’t recommend or not, but the reason I’m putting the link is that it shows you the variety of counselling and therapy available. Have a look through and see if there is some type that might be more what you’re looking for. Or if no idea, then person-centred counselling is probably what you need. Literally someone to talk to confidentially in a safe place and who is trained.

If you have occupational health at work, it might be worth approaching them too as they can often advise. If you work for the nhs (you might be, biggest employer in the uk). then they will definitely be able to refer you

I hope this helps and gets you the guidance and assistance you need. Storms don’t last forever
