I did some research on the letting agency and reviews seem to be mixed, but not too different from other agencies I've looked up during the process. But I'll try to do a little bit more of research now that you've mentioned it.
And the reference checks turned out weirdly. They said we had been declined, and listed three reasons for it. Two of them were money-related (which were more technicalities than anything, since we were able to prove we have sufficient income to rent), and this was the third.
Regarding the other two, they said they could let it pass if we could provide a guarantor, which we did. But even after we had agreed on that they made sure to ask again for proof of notice to leave the University halls before the end of July. |
