another vote for dumbrock. the cycle to bowling is pretty good too but i'm not sure if it's worth swimming there, a few times i've cycled from glasgow to loch lomond, went swimming (well i float, i can't actually swim) and cycle all the way home. wouldn't recommend it because i was super tired by the time i got home.
